  27. 1. Downloading Riven Updater 1.01 from the Web Site

  30. *    Click Download Riven Updater 1.01 for Macintosh. 
  31. *    If prompted, click OK to continue the download. 
  32. *    Locate the Riven Updater 1.01 icon on your hard drive and follow the 
  33. instructions below for installation.

  39. 2. Installation
  40. In order to install the Riven Update, you must first have installed the 
  41. full game Riven 1.0 to your hard drive from your CD.
  42.  
  43. To install the Riven Update, please follow these steps:
  44.

  46. *    Double-click the Riven Updater 1.01 icon on your hard drive. 
  47. *    Click Install to install the files to your hard drive. 
  48. To confirm that the Riven Update has been installed:

  51. *    Double-click the icon labeled Riven (within the Riven Folder) to launch 
  52. the application. 
  53. *    To locate the hidden Menu Bar, click near the top of the screen. 
  54. *    From the Apple menu, select About Riven... 
  55. *    The words "Version 1.01" should appear in the About Riven... window. 
  56. Once you have successfully installed the Riven Update, you can delete 
  57. the Riven Updater 1.01 file from your hard drive.

  62. 3. What does Riven Updater 1.01 change?
  63. Since the release of Riven 1.0, certain technical issues have been 
  64. identified on specific hardware configurations.
  65.  
  66. Riven Updater 1.01 fixes the following problems in Riven 1.0:

  69. *    On certain machines, there are a few movies that play in the wrong 
  70. location. 
  71. *    Some users may experience difficulty operating the rotating domes. 
  72. *    Some users may experience difficulty turning on the light near the water 
  73. at the end of one of the tunnels. 
  74. In order to fix these issues, Riven Updater 1.01 replaces and/or adds 
  75. the following files:

  80. *    Riven.cfg 
  81. *    b_data1.mhk

  91. both the video card and sound card you are using. If possible, have the 
  92. computer both positioned near your phone and turned on. Please also be 
  93. prepared to give us a detailed description of what happens when you try 
  94. to run the program.
